The Doha Development Round includes a new outline agreement for its key agricultural talks. These include a proposal to eliminate all forms of export subsidies by a certain date, with a clear timetable for scrapping the various forms of export subsidisation are concerned.
“This is a truly defining moment in the history of trade policy. We cannot miss this opportunity”, said Shotaro Oshima, chairman of the WTO general council, which will be asked to accept the framework this month.
