Scandal-hit Parmalat said in February that it was seeking offers for Farmland Dairies, Parmalat USA and Milk Products of Alabama, but is now considering holding onto them as bids for the units were lower than expected, Reuters reported, citing people close to the company.
Parmalat received a number of expressions of interest from various companies including Dean Foods, but no offer has yet generated sufficient interest, sources told Reuters.
