French food processing group, Norac has acquired Asian ready-made meals producer, Took Hook.

Operating from a new 2,500 sq. m. plant in Finistere (Brittany), Took Hook employs 45 staff and has increased its turnover by 60% over the past four years, totalling €4m (US$4.3m) in 2002.

Earlier this year Norac acquired southwest France-based Sud n’Sol, which specialises in marinating fresh vegetables.

The group’s activities also extend to sandwiches (Daunat), bakery products (La Boulangere), biscuits (Le Ster) and stuffed pancakes (Whaou).

Norac is also pursuing an on-going investment programme centring on the construction of new plants for the manufacture of a new range of sweet and savoury snacks and sandwiches.
