Peter Stott, Sales Manager Ingredients at Icefresh, revealed that the range includes traditional Oven Chips and a pre-fried Sliced Potato in crinkle-cut or straight sliced for use as a topping for ‘hotpot’-type ready meals. An alternative is the 20mm pre-fried Diced Potato, which as well as being suitable for toppings can be used on its own in hot ‘breakfast’-type airline and train meals.
Icefresh can also supply a round Potato Rosti in 30gm size. These are available in plain, with cheese or with bacon flavours and are ideal for use in portion controlled meal production.
Another product in the new Lutosa range is the “pre-browned” Mashed Potato Top. Currently available in three sizes – 60gm, 90gm and 110gm – they are ideal with meat-based and fish-based meals and give a homemade look with that ‘browned’ appearance. For manufacturers who want to top their own products, Mashed Potato Pellets can be supplied for tempering down and depositing to suit various sizes.
