Wal-Mart’s UK subsidiary Asda has denied a report that it is considering the launch of a scheme to generate customer loyalty and information through a card issuance – at least for the time being.
In a response to an article in Marketing, the company said it will not be using a similar system to that of Tesco’s ClubCard as a tactic to reverse reportedly dwindling customer loyalty.
An Asda spokesperson told just-food: “We always go back to it, but have no plans to do it yet.”
