Snack food company Calbee Foods has appointed vice president Yasuo Nakata assumed as president replacing Masahiko Matsuo, the Kyodo news agency reported.
Nakata is the first Calbee president from outside the founding Matsuo family. He joined Calbee in 1979 and had been a vice president since June 2003.
Tokyo-based Calbee is known for its potato chips and Kappa Ebisen snacks, which are made from wheat flour.
