Danish based dairy company Arla Foods is opening a new representative office in Hungary.
It has appointed Anna Kaposvári national sales manager and head of the group’s new representative office in Hungary with effect from May 1,” it said.
“Hungary’s retail sector is dominated by large international retail chains such as Tesco and Ahold and Arla needs to maintain a close and direct dialogue with customers like these to ensure that our business with them continues to develop,” said regional director Frede Juulsen.
Arla Foods has maintained modest exports to Hungary for several years through a local distributor, it said. This relationship will continue. Arla Foods’ sales to Hungary, mainly Lurpak butter, blue mould cheese and cream cheese, total 10m Danish kroner (US$1.7m).
