The Kroger Company has finalised the sale of 11 Cala Foods and Bell Markets in San Francisco and Marin County to supermarket veteran Harley DeLano, reported The San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the newspaper, the US stores will be transferred to DeLano Retail Partners this year.
DeLano has also vowed to keep the union intact and said that all 11 stores will remain open during the transition, according to the Chronicle. Kroger will reportedly still own the names for Cala Foods and Bell Markets, but was not available for comment when contacted by just-food today (31 August).
