William W. Moreton, outgoing CEO of Wendy’s Baja Fresh Mexican Grill Subsidiary, has been appointed as president and chief financial officer of Chicago based chain Potbelly Sandwich Works.
The announcement was made by Bryant L. Keil, chairman and CEO, to whom Moreton will report. He starts on 15 June.
“We feel extremely fortunate to have an executive of Bill’s calibre join our company and accomplished management team,” Keil said. “Bill’s proven financial, strategic, and administrative skills for building and managing high growth concepts will be a tremendous addition to Potbelly. His expertise will be critical as we work together to fully realize Potbelly’s extraordinary potential.”
“I am honoured and excited to join Bryant and his talented team to help take Potbelly to the next level,” said Moreton. “Potbelly is already tremendously successful and has the foundation in place to continue its impressive growth. It is also a business and brand with strong values which I share.”
