Retail grocery chain Kroger has promoted Ron Stewart to president of Quik Stop Markets effective immediately.

Stewart, who joined Kroger in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Kwik Shop, will now oversee more than 100 Quik Stop convenience stores in California and Nevada.

He said: “I look forward to working with a great group of associates and franchisees as we continue to grow our business by building on the convenience we offer our customers.”

Stewart replaces Van Tarver, who was named vice president of Convenience Stores, Turkey Hill Dairy and Supermarket Petroleum by Kroger earlier this month.
