Swift & Company has completed a definitive agreement to sell its non-fed cattle business to XL Foods.
The deal includes Swift’s Omaha, Nebraska operating plant and its assets in Nampa, Idaho, and the business will now operate as XL Four Star Beef.
The closing of the transaction was subject to completion of due diligence and other customary closing conditions by Canadian-based XL Foods.
