According to a report in Financial Times Deutschland, Barry Callebaut CEO Patrick de Maeseneire has said that if Asian demand for cocoa were to grow suddenly, the chocolate industry could hit its limit, at least transitionally. Within five to ten years, demand could outstrip supply, he said.
