Parmalat Dairy & Bakery Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of the failed Italian dairy group, has announced that CEO Marc Caira is to step down from his post.
However, the company said that Caira would remain in his position until a replacement had been found.
Parmalat collapsed in late-2003 in a major financial scandal, with debts totalling some EUR14bn (US$17.09bn).
