According to a US Department of Agriculture attaché report, published on the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service website, US poultry exports to Hong Kong are expected to increase by 6% in the coming year, despite a number of challenges.

In 2005 the US exported chicken products to the value of US$52m and chicken feet worth US$64m to Hong Kong.

Economical pricing will allow competitors, notably Brazilian poultry exporters, to continue to compete with US poultry exporters. Hong Kong has also introduced a certification requirement for chicken feet that has contributed to declining US exports.
