Nathan’s Famous, Inc. has announced that it has acquired the trademarks and intellectual property relating to the restaurant chain Arthur Treacher’s.

Under the terms of the deal, which took effect from 28 February, NF Treachers, a subsidiary of Nathan’s Famous, acquired the worldwide rights to all trademarks and other intellectual property relating to the Arthur Treacher’s brand, from PAT Franchise Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of TruFoods Systems.


At the same time, NF Treachers Corp. has granted a licence back to PAT Franchise Systems which will allow it to act as the franchisor of the traditional Arthur Treacher’s quick service restaurants within a limited geographic region.
