According to a report in Egyptian newspaper Al-Wafd, it is estimated that the red meat supply shortage in Egypt will total 250,000 tons in 2006. This is an increase on the supply shortage of 169,000 tons in 2005, 159,000 tons in 2004 and 122,000 tons in 2003.
