The prohibition follows January’s agreement to partially lift a ban on US beef imports, imposed two years ago amid fears of mad cow disease.

But the South Korean government said it has made the list, which includes specified risk materials (SRMs) and outlaws bone parts, in line with previous agreements between the two countries, reported the country’s Yonhap news agency.

According to the reports, South Korea also has the right to impose an outright ban if there is another mad cow outbreak in the US.
