Ferrero has begun manufacturing its Nutella Peanut spread in the US, the first time one of its flagship spread products have been made in the country.

Privately owned Ferrero said it had spent $75m on the project at its facility in Franklin Park, west of Chicago. The Windy City is also home to a Ferrero R&D site.
The company has a manufacturing site in 130 miles further south in Bloomington, which it opened two years ago.
The Bloomington site processes chocolate and manufactures products sold under the Crunch, 100 Grand, and Raisinets brands.
