Kelatron Corporation, based in Ogden, Utah, today announced plans to market a unique calcium compound derived from milk in partnership with Lactalis Industries, a company based in Bourgbarre, France.
The product will be marketed world wide by Kelatron under the brand name BiolactaCal.

“BiolactaCal has the highest calcium concentration available compared to current marketed chelated calcium compounds,” said Victor Moreno, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Kelatron Corporation. “Manufactured with a proprietary extraction process developed by Lactalis, BiolactaCal offers high bioavailability and has superior taste qualities.”

The compound has been added in high concentrations to a variety of confection bars, cookies and other foods, as well as dairy products and beverages, among others. Consumer taste tests found that the compound also improved the taste and texture of many of these products. BiolactaCal was also used to make chewable tablets with excellent taste and texture.
