Following a recent announcement that Malaysia is abolishing export tax on crude palm oil, the Indonesian finance minister, Prijadi Prapto Suhardjo, has reduced the export duty on CPO and palm kernel by half. Similar taxes on palm oil derivatives were also cut by 4%.
The tax cuts will be effective immediately.
