Tandem Foods, the US snacks co-manufacturer, is expanding a production facility in Pennsylvania.
The company is investing $42m in its site in O’Hara Township, close to Pittsburgh.

Tandem Foods leases three facilities in O’Hara Township where it manufactures cold-slab bars and carries out chocolate moulding
The group plans to lease another 79,000-square-feet at the facility located at 615 Alpha Drive where it will install a new production line for cold-form bars.
CEO Michael Buick said the move “represents the single largest investment in Tandem Foods’ 40-year history”.
He added the decision was “a direct response to the sustained growth of our strategic partners and the exciting pipeline of new business we’re developing”.
Tandem Foods is a contract manufacturer focusing on better-for-you snacks. The company has eight facilities in the US.
In a statement, Pennsylvania government officials said the company chose the state over California.
Tandem Foods rebranded last year from TruFood Manufacturing and is backed by Mubadala Investment Co. in Abu Dhabi and Manna Tree Partners in Colorado.
Buick took on the CEO role in 2023 and is a former executive of SunOpta, TreeHouse Foods and the once ConAgra Foods.
