The capital will boost the company’s output of frozen and chilled pizzas along with savoury bakery products, for retailers and “out-of-home” customers, it said in a statement.

Roncadin has allocated around €50m to expand its main hub at Meduno in the Italian province of Pordenone.

The funds will add two new production lines, lifting annual capacity to 160 million pizzas by early 2028. The project is expected to add around 200 jobs.

Meanwhile, Roncadin is expanding its factories in the Italian provinces of Verona and Venice.

It is infusing €5m into its newly acquired site in Caorle, Venice to develop a snack line of mini pizzas and dough balls for retail and foodservice sectors.

In the US, the company plans to spend €22m to build a second production line at its Chicago facility, which opened in late 2024.

The expansion will raise the factory’s annual capacity to 50 million pizzas from 2028.

CEO Dario Roncadin said: “We want to grow on solid foundations, build capacity before committing to volumes, and put quality, service, innovation and sustainability at the heart of our business. Turnover of €500m is our next milestone.”

The company forecasts consolidated turnover of approximately €300m for this year, which it describes as the “highest” in its history.

Roncadin employs over 1,250 people globally, with international markets driving over 85% of total revenue. The UK alone generates 22% of sales for the group.
