The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers with nut allergies not to consume Spicydice brand Sesame Seed snacks, becuase they contain peanuts which are not declared on the label.


Manufactured by Chinese firm Guangzhou Rex Company Limited, Spicydice brand Sesame Seed snacks consist of a number of individually wrapped bite size snacks, and are sold in 160g packages bearing UPC 6 922045 280084.


Richmond, BC-based New World Imports Ltd. is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace, where it was distributed in Richmond and Vancouver, BC.


Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction
in persons with allergies to peanuts, but there have not yet been any reported illnesses associated with the product.
