Juice maker Ocean Spray has said it plans to launch its line of cranberry and grapefruit beverages in China in the next six months after agreeing a deal with the country’s largest juice company.

Ocean Spray has granted a ten-year license to Beijing Huiyuan Beverage Group for the Ocean Spray brand and technology. Ocean Spray cranberry and grapefruit juice drinks will be initially launched in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou this year, but sales will extend to other major markets in China over the next three years. Ocean Spray officials estimate that the market for juices and juice drinks in China exceeds over 100 million people.
