Lance refused to reveal the size of the stake or how much it paid for its investment but said it had acquired “a non-controlling minority equity interest” in the company.

Late July Snacks, based in Massachusetts, is a family-owned company formed in 2003 and produces a range of crackers, sandwich crackers and cookies.
