US retailer Winn-Dixie has added ex-Supervalu Inc and Ahold executive Jim Smits to its management team.
Smits has been appointed group vice president of perishables and will report to Winn-Dixie chief merchandising and marketing officer Dan Portnoy.
In October, Winn-Dixie secured the services of the ex-vice president of category management for Bi-Lo, Robert Mould, as its vice president of grocery.
