UK grocery sales are growing at an annual rate of 4%, according to the latest figures from TNS Worldpanel.

Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury all saw sales grow ahead of the market during the 12 weeks to 9 September, TNS said.
Morrisons, however, saw sales inch up 2%; its share over the UK grocery market stands at 10.8%, down from 11% a year ago.
Edward Garner, TNS director of research, struck an upbeat tone as the results were published. “The spending slowdown may be not as sharp as feared,” he said.
