Rising demand for its branded crackers has led Kellogg to expand its plant in Cary, making the site the company’s biggest manufacturing facility in the US.
Kellogg said today (17 September) that it plans to create around 180 jobs at the North Carolina plant, taking the number of employees at the facility to around 800.
A Kellogg spokesperson said the growing popularity for the company’s Keebler and Cheez-It cracker brands had prompted the expansion.
“Growing demand for these products meant that we needed the expanded capacity,” the spokesperson told just-food today.
