The European Commission is giving food companies in ten member states some EUR38.8m (US$53.2m) over the next three years to promote food product sales within the EU.

A large share of the cash is going toward organic lines. France’s organic products agency Agence Bio, alongside other French organic players, will receive EUR3.6m in EU funding, while Austria’s organic food producers, AMA Marketing GesmbH, will receive EUR1.5m.
A grant of some EUR5.7m will help fruit and vegetable sales in three countries, with money going to Promeurop in France, ASSOMELA in Italy and DPA in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, France’s Interfel, producers of fruits and vegetables, will receive EUR2.9m.
Poland’s National Union of Dairy Co-operatives will receive a hefty EUR4.9m to market their dairy goods.
