During the course of 2001, the company plans to build between three and five supermarkets in Moscow, although the specific location for each has not been revealed.

Overall, the chain includes stores in four formats. The Eurospar has a trade area of 1,000-2,500m² and 30% of its product range is made up of non-food products. The SparExpress is sized between 100 and 200m² and mainly sells products that do not require special storage conditions. InterSpar stores can reach up to 6,500m² while the smallest neighbourhood format is only 20 to 450m² while the supermarket is between 450 to 1,000m².

While Bakun revealed that Spar intends to open stores in each of these formats within the next three years, the first stores will be under the Eurospar fascia.
