Hood said the acquisition would help it build on what is already a “substantial” business in California and neighbouring states.
“Our primary emphasis will be to support and build upon the business segments with the most potential for growth and opportunity,” a Hood spokesperson told just-food.
Hood, founded over 160 years ago and based in Massachusetts, owns a range of branded milk, cheese, yoghurt and ice cream.
