The UK business, formed after Vion’s acquisition of UK meat firm Grampian Country Food Group, said the Thai unit was not part of its “core strategic model”.
“This will now allow our management teams to concentrate on our farming and processing activities within the UK,” said CEO Ton Christiaanse. “The proceeds from the sale will allow for increased investment within our UK business with a focus on our poultry activities.”
