Tate & Lyle today (10th September) announced the opening of a new manufacturing and research and development facility for its Food Systems business for the Asia Pacific region.
Through new facility, which is located in Wacol, Queensland, Tate & Lyle hopes to “reinnforce its position as a leading ingredient supplier to the food industry”.
“This facility is part of a global network of development centres and will continue to draw on that international knowledge base. Our R&D investment is a real strength of the business and provides the basis of strong customer partnerships,” Brian Walker, regional sales director of Tate & Lyle Food Systems, said.
According to Walker, Tate & Lyle aims to help manufacturers respond to “big trends” – such as health, wellness and convenience – without compromising on taste.
The A$7m facility will also serve as Tate & Lyle’s Asia-Pacific headquarters.
