Frutarom said today (23 April) that it has agreed a US$2.8m deal to buy Jupiter. Under the agreement, Frutarom will pay up to US$600,000 based on Jupiter’s future performance.

According to Frutarom, Jupiter has shown strong growth over the past few years with annual sales of $2m for the year preceding the acquisition. The company said the deal expands its UK product offering and extends the group’s customer base.

The news follows Frutarom’s acquisition of UK flavour group Belmay in March. Frutarom said that it represents an additional step in its strategy that combines organic expansion with strategic acquisitions.
