Customers of the mail order and Internet grocer in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, will find their orders arriving on milk floats. If the pilot is successful, it could well be extended further.
Simon Grant, marketing director of SimplyOrganic was quoted in Retail Week as saying of Express Dairies: “Their network is very powerful. They’ve got 2.2 million customers. It makes sense looking to the future, and they could be an important part of our home delivery mechanism.”
