Organic and natural foods retailer Whole Foods Market has announced that it has extended the expiration date for its tender offer to acquire outstanding shares of Wild Oats Markets to 5:00 pm, New York time, on 24 April.
The extension stems from the Federal Trade Commission requesting additional information on the proposed acquisition.
Whole Foods Market agreed last month to buy Wild Oats Markets for US$565m cash.
