Figures released by Anabio reveal that between 2004 and 2006, exports of Italian organics increased by 48.66%. The main export markets for organic goods are the UK, where exports rose 140.18%, and Germany, where exports were up 111.56% during the two-year period.


In 2006, the number of companies producing and distributing organic food products rose 8.86% year-on-year, on top of a 6.2% increase in 2005.
