California-based Luna, part of Calif Bar & Co the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, have launched Luna Tea Cakes, a functional nutrition bar that uses the properties of tea to promote women’s wellness. The company claims that the bars encourage better skin, mood balance and longevity.

The bar, which has the consistency of a soft-baked cookie, is Luna’s first non-soy 95% USDA certified baked snack and will be available at natural food stores nationwide.
The Tea Cakes are available in three flavours: Orange Blossom, for healthy skin, Pomegranate Berry, for longevity, and Vanilla Macadamia, for mood balance. Announcing the launch, the company said that ongoing research suggests the antioxidant properties of tea can help protect against cancer, reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, and boost the immune system.
