A cloned elite dairy bull has been born recently, the results of collaboration between Genetics Australia and the Monash Institute of Reproduction & Development.
Melbourne scientists claim that the birth was a breakthrough for the dairy and beef industries because the bull’s semen output is effectively doubled, and the genetic line continued using in-vitro fertilisation techniques.
