Kellogg is putting a new, modern, interactive twist on a decades-old snack food favourite. In collaboration with toy maker Hasbro, the company is launching a line of Strawberry Pop-Tarts printed with questions from the popular Trivial Pursuit for Kids game.

By using edible ink-jet technology, more than 200 edible questions and answers will be imprinted on millions of the pastries in the yearlong promotion. The newly designed packages will incorporate the questions, characters and facts of the Trivial Pursuit game, and will be promoted in a print ad campaign and by in-store displays.


Last month (4 December) the Heinz Ketchup brand announced a link with the new Trivial Pursuit Totally 80s Edition, including the distribution of more than 200m packets to foodservice operations throughout the US.
