Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) Friday (7 September) announced the election of Craig A. Fischer as Vice President and President, ADM Milling Company. Reporting to ADM President John D. McNamara, he will be located at the ADM Milling office in Overland Park, Kansas.

Mr. Fischer is a twenty-eight year veteran with ADM, beginning his career in the Tabor Grain Division and serving as a Vice President in the Corn Processing Division, as President of ARTCO (American River Transportation Company) and most recently as President of both ADM BioProducts and Specialty Ingredients Divisions.

Mr. Fischer, 51, received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Western Illinois University in 1973. He is married and has three sons.

Craig L. Hamlin, joined ADM in 1975 and has served in numerous capacities within ADM Milling including President since 1989, and as Senior Vice President of the Company since 2000. In addition, Mr. Hamlin has served in numerous industry and community organizations.

ADM Chairman and Chief Executive G. Allen Andreas expressed the Company’s appreciation for Mr. Hamlin’s twenty-six years of service and many contributions in helping build ADM into the world’s leading flour miller. ADM Milling Co. operates 70 processing facilities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico and the Caribbean producing wheat, corn, milo, rice and oat products.

Mr. Hamlin, 55, is married and has two sons.
