US retailer Weis Markets has introduced an online shopping service for two of its stores.

Weisishop.com is available for the retailer’s East Market Street store in York and will be available at the retailer’s Roosevelt Boulevard outlet on 7 May.

“Today’s customers are increasingly focused on convenience and value. We believe some of our customers will appreciate the convenience of weisishop and its ease of use,” said Weis Markets spokesperson Dennis Curtin. “Weisishop allows customers to make their orders at a time and place that suits them and then conveniently pick it up when they’re ready.”

Weis Markets is offering the online service in collaboration with MyWebGrocer and said it will waive the first order fee of US$4.95.

The retailer said that customers with a Weis Preferred Shoppers Club card can get the “Weis Club price” and orders will be selected and bagged at the store.
