Leading South Korean confectionery producer Haitai yesterday [Monday] announced the appointment of Cha Suk-yong as company president and CEO.


According to a resume in The Korea Herald, Cha worked for the US consumer good giant Procter and Gamble (P&G) for 15 years, where he was charged with establishing and operating the firm’s Korean operations.


Academically, Cha achieved a BA in accounting from the State University of New York, an MBA in marketing and finance from Cornell University and an advanced management degree from the Seoul National University College of Business Administration.
