Advantica Restaurant Group, Inc. (OTC BB: DINE) yesterday reported same-store sales for company-owned restaurants during the five-week period and quarter ended September 26, 2001, compared with the same periods in fiscal year 2000.

Starting in late August and continuing through the first half of September guest counts softened as Denny’s ended its summer promotion. The tragic events of September 11th further impacted sales as guest counts decreased by approximately 3.5% during the second half of September.
