Tokyo-based coffee shop chain Doutor Coffee Co revealed earlier today [Thursday] that its full year consolidated net profit, to March 2002, will rise 22.7% year-on-year to ¥2,650m (US$21.5m).

The positive forecast added that group recurring profit will grow 19.5% to ¥5,040m.
Doutor expects sales to grow 17.4% to ¥52,220m, and the company told the Jiji Press that although sales at its existing coffee shops will remain level, the beverages and other products sold through retailers like supermarkets and convenience stores will perform well.
For the April-September first half, Doutor Coffee posted a consolidated net profit of ¥1,121m, up 2.6% over a year before.
