Ahold said it will submit audited consolidated fiscal year 2002 financial statements to its syndicate of banks after the close of trading hours of both Euronext Amsterdam and the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday 1 October. Delivery of its audited consolidated fiscal year 2002 financial statements is a condition of Ahold’s €2.65bn (US$3.10bn) credit facility negotiated in March 2003.

Ahold also said its subsidiary Ahold Real Estate Europe has completed the sale of two shopping centres in the Czech Republic for around €56.5m.
