Dunedin Holdings, a subsidiary of Canadian food group George Weston, has confirmed that it is in talks with Mexico’s Grupo Bimbo over the possible sale of its US bakery unit.
“No agreement has been reached and there can be no assurance that any transaction will be concluded,” the company said in a statement today (4 December).
No further details of the negotiations were provided and officials at George Weston and Bimbo were unavailable for comment at time of press.
