USA: Kroger to invest in distribution centre upgrade
US grocery chain Kroger Co plans to invest US$10.2m to upgrade its distribution centre in central Indiana. The upgrade is aimed at improving the company’s ability to handle perishable food products, according to state economic development officials. The warehouse, which employs 800 people, will supply around 240 Midwestern Kroger stores, reported the Associated Press.
