Walkers Snack Foods has withdrawn a limited number of Walkers crisps multipacks due to a possible risk of contamination.


The multipacks, covering two date codes, are thought to possibly contain the presence of small pieces of black rubber, the Food Standards Agency announced today (12 August).


Walkers has confirmed that the rubber does not pose a risk for those with a latex allergy and has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected batches.


The affected products include Walkers Crisps Multi-Packs: 21 packs for the price of 14 promotional packs; 21 pack multipacks; 28 pack multipacks and individual pack size: 25g.


The best before dates are between 13 September 2008 and 20 September 2008. The flavours implicated are Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion, Salt and Vinegar, Prawn Cocktail, Worcester Sauce, BBQ Rib.
