US food group Hormel Foods has appointed Ron Fielding to lead the company’s corporate strategy and M&A as part of a series of changes to its management team.
Fielding, who joined Hormel in 1994, becomes executive vice president of corporate strategy, planning and development at the company.

Fielding, who was heading up Hormel’s company’s grocery products arm, has been succeeded in that role by James Splinter, who was overseeing the marketing of the consumer brands in Hormel’s refrigerated foods division.
Elsewhere, Steve Binder and Jody Feragen, the head of Hormel’s refrigerated foods division and CFO respectively, have been given the additional job title of executive vice president.
